How to Live in the Heart

Dear Reader,

Last week, in my live, three-day event, we explored living in three realms as highly sensitive people: Noise, Heart, and Vision. It was an enlightening journey full of community. If you missed it, here is a brief summary.

Together, we talked about recognizing overwhelm as information rather than failure, and how learning to work with your nervous system can bring more steadiness and choice into daily life. We explored practical ways to return to the heart through breath, posture, and awareness, especially during moments of stress or disconnection. From there, we turned toward vision, clarifying what you want your life to look and feel like and how holding that vision with intention and kindness can create meaningful change over time.

What emerged again and again was this truth. When noise quiets and the heart is present, vision becomes clearer. And when vision is rooted in nervous system awareness, it becomes something you can actually live.

A gentle invitation if you find yourself called to explore this content further... You can now access the recordings and resources as an evergreen course. Everything is gathered for you on the course page, where you can move through the content at your own pace and return to anything that feels supportive. Check it out here.

As you know, my small in person retreat in Costa Rica called Cleanse, Clarify, and Create is just around the corner. It is an invitation to step away from daily noise, rest your nervous system, reconnect with your heart, and clarify the vision you are living toward in a supportive and beautiful rainforest setting. There is no pressure here, simply an open door for those who feel curious.

Thank you for bringing your presence, honesty, and sensitivity to this experience. It has been a privilege to share these conversations with you.

With love and compassion,
Alane

A round swinging couch in the rainforest at the Imiloa HSP retreat in Costa Rica

Dear Reader, Hey, will you give me a push? I literally asked another guest to give me (and my friend) a push when we were lounging on the swing. And guess what? If you are on the swing, I’ll happily come and give you a gentle push. I loved swings as a child and it turns out they helped me regulate my nervous system. They also answered the call of the high sensation seeker in me… Look how high, I think I could fly! This swing is the first place I sat down at Imiloa on my own retreat. I even...
