Do you offer unwelcome advice? But you are soooo thoughtful and well-meaning.

Dear Reader,

Have you noticed that your great ideas, advice, input, suggestions are sometimes not appreciated? In fact, you might have been accused of being meddling, controlling, or even hyper-critical.

Sadly, it is true. We are both of these things.

Thoughtful and caring AS WELL AS meddling and critical. How is one to find the balance?

A fabulous tool for sharing is "Keep the focus on yourself and resist advising."

This will be our first theme for Friday's HSP Tools and Topics.

We have some fabulous questions already submitted for Friday, and here are two examples:

  1. Can you talk about under-stimulation for an HSP, and if this is a quality or propensity for HSPs OR if it’s more reflective of something co-occurring like High Sensation Seeking? We usually talk a lot about overstimulation.
  2. I’m a new member and recently discovered that I’m a HSP—a truly transformative realization for me. It has been an eye-opening moment that’s shifted how I see and understand myself. I’ve been diving into as much reading as I can, and I would greatly appreciate your guidance on one or two key actions I should focus on right now as someone newly embracing this powerful aspect of who I am.
  3. YOUR QUESTION HERE. Your questions are welcome, too. Just please join us for HSP Tools and Topics tomorrow, Friday, September 5th (register at link above or reply to this email.)

Curious? Come and check us out.

See you there,
Alane

Dear Reader, What happens when evolution and the forces of nature come together? Magic happens. That’s what I feel when I walk between these two room-sized boulders deposited in the jungle by an ice age glacier. The energy is powerful! The Ancient Watering Hole And sometimes those powerful forces stop you in your tracks. That is what happened in the Imiloa rio (river for you anglophiles). As the giant boulders settled, the river narrowed and stopped the water with a natural dam. Can you guess...
