Dear Reader, As the days grow shorter, we navigate election drama, and the holidays approach, I've been thinking about gratitude, grief, and the wisdom that comes with growing in our sensitive nervous systems. What are we grateful for, even when life is complicated? What are we ready to let go of? And how do we want to spend our precious time and energy in this chapter of life? These are the kinds of questions we rarely make time to explore together. Tomorrow, Sunday, I'm hosting another Wisdom & Wonder gathering, and I'd love for you to be part of the conversation. Our theme is Finding the Light in the Darkness: Gratitude, Grief & the Wisdom of Winter. This isn't a lecture or a class. It's a chance to slow down, connect with others, share our experiences, and explore some of life's bigger questions. You don't need to have answers. Just bring your curiosity, your life experience, and your willingness to wonder. We're gathering tomorrow, and there's still time to join us! Sunday, November 8 YES! I WANT TO JOIN WISDOM & WONDER And if you know someone who would enjoy a thoughtful conversation about life, aging, and what matters most, please invite them along. I hope to see you tomorrow! Warmly, Alane Freund, MS, MA |

What would you like to explore, experience, or make room for? I encourage you to give these questions some thought. Maybe even write down your answers. I know if I don't write things down, they...
Dear Reader, As we approach the Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos, I've been thinking about our ancestors, the gifts they've passed down, and the grief we carry. There are times of year when we are invited to remember. Halloween. Samhain. All Saints' Day. Día de los Muertos. Across cultures and traditions, this turning of the season has long been a time to acknowledge death, honor those who came before us, and remember that our relationships do not simply disappear when someone is gone. Click to watch Dear Reader, ETHICS Do you sometimes find yourself in an ethical dilemma? I do, often.Do I take care of me or of you?Do I tell the person the (helpful) information I know?Do I get trapped in ethical dilemmas because it was so overwhelming? How do we teach our kids to hold high ethical standards without spiraling into perfectionism?I don't think the answer is ALWAYS BE PERFECT which is the subtle or not so subtle message my brain gives me.I think part of the answer is to be...
